OpsMgr – Network adapter monitoring

By default all Network Adapters are not monitored, this is because the monitor is disabled by default.

To enable Network Adapter monitoring we have to create an Override that enables the monitor. the easy way to do it is using the monitoring pane –> Microsoft Windows Server –> Network State view.

to override the monitor we need to right click on one of the network adapters and open health explorer. then open the monitor properties (Network Adapter Connection Health under Availability) and choose the override tab. finally click on the override button and Override for all objects of type: Microsoft Windows 200X Network Adapter.

do not forget that the best practice is to save the Overrides in a new Management Pack like Windows Servers Overrides MP and NOT to the Default Management Pack.
